Message Well, I am happy to report back that I am in Gainesville and the Z brought me here without flaw.

Got her reg'd and tagged; ordered a new custom tag, "ASHSPEC" and got the insurance taken care of. Made a few last preparations on the car yesterday afternoon and took her out to the gas station to fuel up for the trip to Gainesville. For peace of mind, when I got back from the gas station, I hopped online and purchased Triple-A's premium policy in the event something went awry on the 2-hour, ~130 mile trip. JIC sort of thing.

First off, the throttle response and bottom end torque is pretty damned impressive. My Blitz SBC-iC is showing 14psi on the gauge by 3200-3300rpm. It is produicing .93bar at 3200RPM and by 3300RPM it is showing 1.10bar.

The water pump controller and electric water pump works wonderfully - I dialed her in at 212F to run her a bit on the warm side to help get the rings seated up and she held rock-steady temp all the way to I-75, where I brought the temp down to 180F for the few boosted bursts I did at 20psi.

The turbochargers are my Stage2 design which uses the T3 62-trim compressor and a T04B housing. This may ring a bell - it is identical to that of the GT28RS (Sport700). The turbine section uses a 76-trim turbine wheel, which is also the same trim as the GT28RS's turbine, with the exception of an additional blade on the turbine (9-blade on the GT28RS and 10-blade on the Stage2). The turbine housing is an OEM .63 A/R housing that has been milled out for the new turbine wheel. The cartridge is an OEM unit, rebuilt from stock turbos with these new wheels, 360-degree thrust groups and new bearings and seals. The extra blade on the turbine wheel helps this turbo get spooled up quickly - better for that bottom end grunt.

I'm glad to say that there is NO SMOKE at all. Full 3" exhaust, about as straight through as you can get, and absolutely no smoke as of yet. All with a set of turbochargers that are rebuilt from OEM units.

All is great and fine with the car, but the weather blows today here in Gainesville. It has been raining most of the day and has let up over the past few hours. Supposed to be very cold and dry tomorrow - nice weather for running some laps on the roadcourse. I brought some camera gear to get some video - have a couple of ideas for some really cool shots. :)

BTW: For those of you that have sent an email to me since yesterday afternoon, please sit tight for a response - I am out of town and not using a bellsouth ISP so I am receiving them but I cannot send out replies. I will have replies over to you on Monday though - thanks for your patience.
